| Explorer Scouting is for everyone aged between 14-18 years old who want adventure and fun. As well as doing a wide range of activities members can also work towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards. Phoenix runs a varied programme from activities such as Zorbing and Climbing to the more social activities such as 10 pin bowling and laser quest. The Unit also go camping regularly including regular visits to Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. Phoenix Explorer Scout Unit is part of Runnymede District and is partnered with 2nd New Haw Scout Group. Phoenix meets on Monday evenings. | ||

Phoenix is one of three Units in Runnymede, the other two Units are Intrepid (Addlestone and Chertsey) and Endeavour (Egham, Englefield Green, Thorpe and Virginia Water). All Runnymede Explorer Scouts wear a dark red scarf with each unit having a different coloured border - the Phoenix scarf has a black border.
