The Scouts headed to Garners Field campsite for Halloween this year. We arrived on the Friday evening and erected our tents before exploring the site and playing a few wide games.
We started saturday by getting messy carving Pumpkin faces. We then raced each other on the assault course. This tested both our strength and our sense of balance. In the afternoon we did some fire lighting and also did on the onsite orienteering course. After dinner we dressed for halloween before our campfire and a scary ghost story.
On Sunday we headed into the countryside for a half-day hike designed to test our navigation skills. The route took us to Frensham Ponds. The footpaths took us through the local woods (where we saw lots of Fungi) before heading across the heathland to reach the ponds. We then headed back to the campsite for lunch before our journey home.
